Wheels and Tyres Detailing Tips from the Pro's.

Tyre Care:
- Tyres MUST be clean before applying any type of tyre dressing or spray.
- Be careful not to overspray or wipe onto rims. If you do, remove residue immediately.
- Be careful of white walls / letters when applying some dressings.

Wheel Care
- Determine what type of wheel/rim you have before choosing the right wheel cleaner. Some stronger wheel cleaners can cause damage if not used on the right type of wheel. If your unsure, use HOT RIMS - All Wheel Cleaner, as it is safe for all surfaces.
- It's safer to use a less aggressive cleaner and a wheel brush to clean brake dust. For tricky rims use the Meguiar's Spoke Brush.
- Wheels must be cooled before any cleaning is possible (a wash will do this) to prevent staining.
- If your unsure of any product, do a spot test on a hard-to-see area to safeguard against possible staining.
- When using a wheel cleaner, be cautious of the plaster center caps. A cleaner might effect them differently than the rim. Remove caps if your uncertain.
- ALWAYS spray wheel cleaners from the bottom up to help prevent staining.
- Be careful when applying tyre dressing - tyre dressing may stain some wheels.
