Meguiar’s Car Crazy for Christchurch

Meguiar’s Car Crazy for Christchurch Fundraising Event held on Thursday the 10th March, had a great turn out with 110 cars on display, and over 500 generously spirited car enthusiasts. There was a fantastic range of cars on show, from hot rods, classic cars, V8’s, race cars, euro’s, imports and dragsters! So there was a little something there for everyone to get excited about.

Meguiar’s Ultimate Shine Competition Winner 2010

Meguiar’s have awarded the sought-after title of “New Zealand’s Ultimate Shine” for 2010 to a 1966 Chevelle Malibu owned by Steve and Donna Anniss.

The Ultimate Shine Competition ran from September to November 2010 and attracted over 75 entries into the competition, which the judges sifted through and picked out who they thought deserved the title. The thousands of public votes which came through contributed to 50% of the points in the final tally to determine the winner.

The judges were the editors of Petrolhead & Rodder Magazine, NZV8 Magazine, NZ Performance Car Magazine, NZ Hot Rod Magazine and Darlene Smits, the Managing Director of Meguiar’s New Zealand.

A flawless 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Berlinetta has been selected as the ‘Best in Show’ by a panel of independent judges at the 2010 Meguiar’s Club Showcase. The event brings together the crème de la crème of vehicles from 16 major marque specific events that the company supports throughout the year and was once again a major feature at this year’s Classic Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

Speedshow goes Car Crazy with Meguiar’s

The enormously popular international television programme Car Crazy, hosted by Barry Meguiar, is the inspiration for a new draw-card at this year’s Speedshow set to run at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds on 24 and 25 July. Meguiar’s Car Crazy Central, at the 2010 running of the Speedshow automotive extravaganza, is the place where people who love cars can meet and celebrate the car hobby scene in New Zealand.

Whitianga Festival of Speed

The Whitianga Festival of Speed was held on the 10-11 April 2010, where an array of offshore powerboats, motorbikes, airplanes, helicopters, cars and much more were on display.

Beach Hop 2010

The Beach Hop celebrated its 10th year last week and saw over 1,100 cars enter - making it its biggest event in Beach Hop history.

The normally subdued coastal town of Whangamata was buzzing once again this year as the annual Beach Hop took place - the number of people and cars were massive, no doubt because it was Beach Hop’s 10th Anniversary.
